Walking Event: The Coeur DAlene Trail

This is a round long distance walk. The entire trail crosses the Idaho panhandle. You may take the entire season to complete the entire 117km. You may walk the route in sections. Since the route is linear, either go out and back or leave a car at your next destination trail head. Walk with a friend. Carry your own food and water. Some areas are remote. It is advised not to bring your dog. The trail is interpreted and restrooms are available along this paved path.The area is rich with history, natural beauty, and wildlife. You will share the trail with a few bicycles. You will receive one event stamp per 20km walked and the appropriate distance walked. Although one stamp is located at GW Hunters you must mail to the Point of Contact for this walk to receive your walk log and complete instructions if you intend on walking more than 10km . For 5 and 10km the directions and drive directions will be in the start box. You will drive 33 miles to the nearest trail head at Cataldo.
