Webfooters Postcard Show and Sale at The Jackson Armory

Cost: 2.00
The third weekend in April, April 16-17, 2011, we will hold our 31st Annual Show & Sale at the Jackson Armory.

Postcards are interesting to a lot of different people, for a lot of different reasons. Some like the history, some the investment potential, some the wealth of images. Some like the fact that their particular obsessions (owls, pictures of cows standing in water, art/deco buildings in Florida, American Indian basketry, family history, etc.) can be found on postcards. Kids love to start a little collection: pictures of Zebras, or space ships. Some frame these: mini-art prints, while some stick them in a box, a book, or on their fridge.

Postcards go back a little more than 100 years, and you can hold a little piece of history in your hands, admire the stamps, and read about the lives of people long gone.. Depending on how your tastes run, you can spend as little as a quarter for a postcard, or, over $1000. Something for just about everyone.
