Learn the “language” of watercolor from Chris Keylock Williams, signature member of the National Watercolor Society and past president of the Watercolor Society of Oregon. Chris will present five sessions focused on “WATERCOLOR OLYMPICS....painting winning watercolors". Weekly topics will be....."Opening Ceremony"....."Scoreboard"......"Movement"......."Lighting"....and...."Gold Medal Finish Line". Students - bring 2 paintings to class the first week for critique. Each week Chris shows samples and does a demonstration of a particular skill or quality unique to watercolor. You paint at home and bring your work in the next session for critique. Students don’t paint in class but have serious critiques of their work, lessons and demonstrations. The focus of the class will be on ”Creativity and Painting Winning Watercolors". Class sample available at gallery. Some student art experience in drawing or painting is recommended. Adult class minimum 9, maximum 14. Register for either a morning session (9-12) or afternoon session (1-4).
