This walk begins in Ladd Addition which is entirely listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The narrow streets are lined with elm and circle traffic controls are rose gardens. The streets here are in a diagnal wagonwheel pattern, so follow driving directions carefully. The walk continues along the Willamette river past the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) around the popular west side and east side esplanades. On the weekends you will pass the Portland Saturday Market....

The streets here are in a diagnal wagonwheel pattern, so follow driving directions carefully. The walk continues along the Willamette river past the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) around the popular west side and east side esplanades. On the weekends you will pass the Portland Saturday Market. You will cross the Willamette river twice on bridges with special pedestrian walkways shared with bicycles.
