I messed up! Didn't have a Training Series ride scheduled for this weekend! I'll remedy that by piggy backing on Keith R's Sauvie Island event. We will ride from the Hillsboro Fred Meyer (Imbrie Drive, near Hwy 26) and ride over the West Hills to Sauvie Island in time to join Keith's ride at 9AM. Our ROUTE will take us up Old Cornelius Pass and then down Newberry Rd to Sauvie Island in 13 miles. We will join Keith's group for a couple of laps around the island (be sure to RSVP for his ride ... (read more)

Training Series ride 8A (commute to Keith R's Sauvie Island ride) at Postal code 97223, US

We will join Keith's group for a couple of laps around the island (be sure to RSVP for his ride as well) then we will return to Fred Meyer via a climb up Logie Trail. This commute will add 32 miles to Keith's 25 mile ride and add 2354 ft of climbing as well. You need to be able to ride the first 13 miles over the hill in an hour or less to be on time for Keith's ride. Shouldn't be too hard for those that have been participating in the Training Series and doing their homework rides regularly. If you are concerned about your ability to ride that pace be sure to print off the map/cue sheet and start a bit earlier. Given the time constraints of joining the other group on time we won't be able to wait for those that can't keep up. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Official Event Information: Length, 32 miles (+ 25 on Sauvie Island) Meet at: Fred Meyer (Imbrie Drive) Pedals spinning promptly at 8 AM Ride Leader: [masked], [masked] Ride Difficulty: C-5 ( 15 mph/hills, 2354 ft total) Ride Type: training Ride rain or shine.
