KAYAK: Silver Lake Washington

GLEN DUEY: 360. 864 2440 E-MAIL: [masked] WHERE: Silver Lake is in Cowlitz County, in the Longview-Kelso metro area. WHEN: We will launch our boats together and take off together. CARPOOL: ÂÂ"IFÂÂ" you intend to carpool meet at Pacific Boat Sales on 33rd and Marine Drive at 9:00 am. Leave this lot promptly at 9:15 Park in the most rear section of the lot and make sure you do not leave valuables in your car. REGROUP: Those who are driving will regroup at the Shell station I-5 exit 48 Castle Rock, Washington at 10:15 where I will guide you to the launch location. DIFFICULTY: Generally a very easy paddle DISTANCE: DURATION: This will take up the better part of your day. EXPERIENCE: This is not for the first time kayaker. Please have experience! RENTAL EQUIPMENT: If you need to rent equipment please make your own arrangements. Check the yellow pages of your phone book!!! WHAT TO WEAR: (will they need wet suites)? What exactly should they bring for extra clothing ???? Layer, Layer, Layer. NO COTTON QUICK DRY!!!!!!! WHAT TO BRING: Water, snacks, lunch, whistle, PFD, camera, drybag. A flat water kayak exploring Silver lake. Expect to paddle through Lilly pads while checking out the homes surrounding the lake. Some open water paddling while crossing to the far shore, IE wind waves. with great views of Mt St Helens reflecting off the water and my favorite, carp, sleeping on the surface and waking up when the kayak touches them. I don't know who is the most startled, me or the fish!!!
