With the arrival of the 21st century, the Pacific Northwests growth in both population and boating continues to surge. Recreationally speaking, our region has it all, as demonstrated by the number of outdoor enthusiasts moving here. The trend, forecasted to increase, has already propelled sales in the Northwest marine industry, comfortably ahead of national averages. Industry statistics prove it. For example, last year in Oregon and Washington, recreational boat sales-including boat sales, accessories, fuel, meals, gear, moorage fees, travel and related activities-totalled $5.25 billion in spending. Thats a passionate market!
