So, you've been free-writing like crazy, your notebook is full of potent seeds, and you are starting to wonder, "Now what?" In this 10-week workshop, we will explore that question by traveling from the messy beginnings of the writing process to the development and revision of at least one polished piece. We will spend our first sessions together writing from prompts and discussing published works of creative nonfiction, an exciting genre that includes memoir, essay, new journalism, and countless variations of them all. The remainder of our time will be focused on developing pieces of publishable quality through intensive feedback sessions. Our final meeting will be a celebratory reading for friends and family. Experience in a workshop of this nature is not necessary. A commitment to writing and reviewing others' work at home is. This workshop is a great follow-up to other Ibex Studios' offerings.
