BodyVox Dance Performance of "Reveries" is Fundraiser for Unique Int'l Garden Project

BodyVox will hold a fundraising holiday performance at the Newmark Theatre (1111 SW Broadway) on Sunday, November 30 at 6 p.m. Proceeds will support the PGSCA's development of "Garden Portland" or "Jardin Portland" in Guadalajara, MX. The acclaimed dance troupe will perform repertoire from their internationally-acclaimed production “Reverie.”

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com) or the Jardin Portland website (www.jardinportland.com). The PGSCA will also sponsor 100 free tickets for targeted, partnering Latino children’s organizations and student groups, and plans to feature a performance by a local Latino children’s dance troupe during the show’s intermission.

One of the most unique international projects of its kind, Jardin Portland brings together the Sister Cities of Portland and Guadalajara to create a public park as global model for landscape design, sustainability and the exchange of culture, tourism and education. The Jardin, located in Guadalajara’s largest central-city park, will highlight Portland internationally as a leader in environmental best practices and provide a much-needed green space for up to one million park visitors each year. It will feature replicas of our region’s most cherished features, such as Multnomah Falls, Pioneer Square and the Salmon Street Fountain, and will showcase works by Portland-area artists.
