Downhill Skiing Day Trip

The cold weather, which allows the snow making machinery to operate, means the skiing upstate has been improving (though it's got a long way to go to be really good.) I'm hoping that by next Wed it will have improved further, enough to make a day's outing worthwhile. My thinking is to head up to one of the following areas: Catamount, Bellayre, Platekill, or Hunter. I'll be watching the weather and snow conditions over the next few days. If it looks good (enough,) we'll give it a go...otherwise we'll cancel and try a bit later in the season. As always with my Meetups, there is no fee and you participate entirely at your own risk. A day ticket at the areas mentioned runs around $50 to $60 during this period. Rental equipment is another $30 or $35 or so. Carpool: depending on who is coming and from where, we'll try to set up a carpool location later. RSVP yes or maybe depending on your level of interest.
