"A Little Bit of Everything

Aspen Winds woodwind quintet was founded by Stephanie Simper and Amy
Gabbitas when they joined the Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra and met
horn player Kit Weber, bassoonist Jessi Vandigraff and later joined
with flutist Lisa Whatcott.  They aspire to the highest standards in
music and professionalism.  Each member dedicated years and hours to
perfecting themselves on their instruments and received degrees from
music schools across the nation. They perform with groups across the
state including, but not limited to, The Utah Symphony and the
Orchestra at Temple Square.  Through all of this they have become good
friends and enjoy playing great music together.

This concert features the woodwind instruments in combinations small
and large, performing "A Little Bit of Everything".  Aspen Winds will
delight the audience with the fun and quirky sounds of Jean Francaix's
Woodwind Quintet No. 1.  Watch as a clarinet and bassoon "Duel without
Banjos".  The young and young at heart will feel right at home with a
Video Game Entourage, as well as a performance of Jenni Brandon's
"Five Frogs for Wind Quintet".
