Carnegie Mellon School of Design Emergence Conference

Carnegie Mellon’s School of Design will hosts its first annual Emergence conference on September 8th through the 10th, 2006, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
The conference has been established as an annual transdisciplinary event where emergent themes and practices in design will be explored and fostered. The theme for this year’s conference is “Service Design.” Shelley Evenson, Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies, teaches service design and will be one of the featured panelists at the conference.
