Bynums Marketing & Communications, Inc., along with organizations that are concerned about the education of youth, will present the "21:03 Back-to-School Concert.
21:03 is a nationally known urban Gospel group made up of three young men. The group was featured in "Wow! Gospel 2009" and currently travels throughout the country, sharing a hopeful message through song.
Sponsors of this event include The Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council, Familylinks, and The Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers. The purpose of the "21:03 Back-to-School Concert" is to provide an opportunity for youth in Pittsburgh and surrounding communities to see positive role models, hear a positive message in support of education, and be encouraged to do well in school. Students are faced with many challenges that can negatively impact their education, including gang violence, drugs and alcohol, bullying, domestic problems, and negative peer pressure. The "21:03 Back-to-School Concert" will be focused on presenting a message to help students prepare for the challenges of the new school year. Five hundred people are expected to attend this event, including youth, youth leaders and parents.
