Phoenix 10th Amendment Group's 1st meetup!

This will be our first meetup! I wish it could be sooner, but this is the earliest date I can make it happen. The location is yet to be determined, but it will most likely be in Central / North Central Phoenix. I'm open to suggestions, but I imagine that this will be a pretty flexible, "get to know each other" kind of meeting. It could last anywhere between 1-2 hours. However, I'm thinking we might want to have some kind of short introductory presentation for people who may not be completely familiar with the 10th Amendment and the idea of State Sovereignty, or who may not be familiar with concepts like interposition or nullification. The presentation, (which could be a short speech, power point slideshow or video), would answer questions like, -Why did so many of the Constitution's ratifiers insist on a bill of rights, including the 9th and 10th Amendments? -What were the Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions of 1798? -What is nullification and what is it not? -Has nullification been used successfully in the past or in recent history? -Can nullification be used today to successfully arrest the progress of an out of control federal government? -What measures have our AZ legislators taken to assert Arizona's sovereignty? -What should the short, medium and long range objectives of the Phoenix 10th Amendment Group (PTAG) be?
