Event details: Holiday Wine & Cheese Party and Silent Auction
Description
Enjoy delicious wine and cheese while bidding on great items - just in time for holiday gift giving.
All proceeds will benefit Share Your Soles, which collects "gently worn" shoes and distributes them to those most in need throughout the world. More than 350,000 pairs have been shipped within the U.S. and to Mexico, Central and South America, Africa and Asia. Funds are needed - $10,000+ to ship 20,000 pairs to Rwanda, where thousands of children have been orphaned by genocide. For more: www.shareyoursoles.org.
Founder Mona Purdy will fly in from Chicago for this event and speak about her experiences, worldwide needs, and the organization's accomplishments and goals for the future.
Tickets are $20 per person, $35 per couple.
