Welcome to the cave! That's what they say at Carlsbad Tavern! I have read some very impressive reviews about this place, and can't wait to try it! This is a fabulous New Mexican-style restaurant that incorporates the best of New Mexico's outstanding culinary traditions. Carlsbad Tavern rocks for their delicious flavorful dishes such as their Chipotle Stroganoff Chicken Pasta(grilled chicken, mushrooms, onions, cilantro and spicy chipotle, tossed with angel hair pasta). Or how about their New Mexican potstickers for an appetizer(chicken and anaheim chiles with sweet corn cream sauce)? For an entree that's sure to please your palate, try their Osso Bucco(pork shank slow roasted with serranos, garlic, onion and leeks, then finished off with an apple chipotle glaze. Served with green chile mashed potatoes, veggie and salad). YUMMY!! For an amazing atmosphere we can sit outside under the lights next to the fireplace and by the water. You can't find a better ambiance anywhere. And remember, it's a known fact that 3 grams of chile seasoning a day burns an extra 45 calories.
