A featured appearance by Hannah Montana’s Mitchel Musso will highlight the seventh annual lighting of Arizona’s tallest, real animated Christmas tree Nov. 22 at Outlets at Anthem in north Phoenix.

Featured entertainment gets underway at 6:15 p.m. with Mitchel Musso, who plays Oliver Oken on the Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana. Musso will perform with his live band.

Arizona’s tallest animated Christmas tree will be lighted at 7 p.m. in a ceremony that attracts more than 7,000 people annually.

Musso and Phoenix City Councilwoman Thelda Williams (District 1) will join Santa Claus to flip a large switch that will light the 80-foot white fir tree. Selected from the Shasta/Trinity National Forest on the California-Oregon border, the 45-year-old tree weighs eight tons and is decorated with more than 24,000 LED lights that will dance, flash and swirl to a medley of holiday carols.

The lighting will be followed by a variety of local entertainment including select musical numbers from “The Taffetas” and “Oliver” performed by Starlight Community Theater, a performance of holiday favorites by Lil’ Chicks and classical holiday music performed by ProMusica of Arizona Chorale and Orchestra.
