The World Famous Rockettes make their long-awaited debut in Philadelphia, as Madison Square Garden Entertainment brings two highly anticipated performances of The Radio City Christmas Spectacular to the Wachovia Center on Wednesday, December 2 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The Arena production was specifically designed for large-scale venues and replicates the grandeur of the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall on an entirely different scale. Audiences are taken on a theatrical journey that the entire family can enjoy together. Children thrill as Santa takes the audience on a magical sleighride to the North Pole, while parents marvel at the unparalleled precision dance of the Rockettes. Wachovia Center
The Wachovia Center is an indoor arena located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Wachovia Center is one of four buildings part of the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. The Wachovia Center opened its doors in the summer of 1996. The Wachovia Center Philadelphia was built upon the old site of the John F. Kennedy Stadium and had cost $206 million. Prior to its current name, the Wachovia Center Philadelphia went under the names Spectrum II, Core States Center and the First Union Center. Unlike the various name changes it underwent, the Wachovia Center Philadelphia keeps its reputation strong and stable by hosting hundreds of events each year.The Wachovia Center schedule opened with a bang by featuring Ray Charles in their 1996 opening concert. More than a decade after opening, the Wachovia Center schedule keeps it coming with legendary acts and events. John Mayer, Michael Buble, Bon Jovi, Black Eyed Peas and Taylor Swift are just a few of the big names scheduled to hit the Wachovia Center stage.
