As a young Norwegian girl, Kate Havnevik began her musical exploration wanting to be a classical- and jazz guitar player. Then at the age of 14 she changed her mind, took a U-turn and joined an all female punk band, rehearsing and playing at Oslos (illegally occupied) punk HQ, Blitz. Having both parents as professional classical musicians she herself is a skilled musician in her own right and plays both the guitar and the piano to a high level.
