Gabrielle Roth's 5 Rhythms Dance - Philadelphia Monthly Meetup

Welcome to the Monthly 5Rhythms in Mt Airy! NOTE: Pre-registration is cheaper for most people (see below), but the MeetUp RSVP feature does NOT pre-register you for classes. (This is because the class is older than the MeetUp group and most of the 30+ regular dancers are not listed on this site.) NOTE: Some pre-registration details have CHANGED Come and dance with Margaret Wagner this month! Whether you've been meaning to move with us for a long time, are familiar with the 5Rhythms(R) but haven't been moving in Philly yet, or just want to step out on a new limb, we all look forward to meeting you on the dance floor. The 5Rhythms(R) Movement Meditation Practice of Gabrielle Roth is a dynamic, cathartic, joyful, insightful, wild, wonderful way to experience a deep and loving connection to self, to the other, and to the many communities to which we each belong. Moving with attention to the 5Rhythms(R) of Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness leads each of us into a greater awareness of the vastness of soul -through the action of our many unique and heartful dances. Don't forget to dress comfortably, bring a bottle of water and your curiosity, wear light-soled dance shoes (or preferably just enjoy dancing bare-footed!) when you come dive into the dance on the second Saturday of the month (except August), at the Summit Presbyterian Church New reduced & simplified prices! Anyone new to the 5Rhythms: $10 (at the door or pre-registered). Otherwise: $20 pre-registered, $30 at the door. Except Students and Elders: $15 (no pre-reg discount, unless new) Been away a while? We accept check or credit card, and you can reserve with credit card and still pay cash at the door. (Tammy will no longer be handling any pre-registration for the Mt Airy class.) Our monthly 5Rhythms(R) class happens on the 2nd Saturday of the month (except August) in Mount Airy, Philadelphia. You can save by pre-registering, (BUT you CANNOT do so via MeetUp: Please see above). Please arrive a few minutes early so that payments can be processed before the class starts. Don't forget if you bring along a friend who has never experienced the 5Rhythms(R) before they come for half price (see above). This is a great opportunity to introduce someone to the 5Rhythms(R). Location Details Summit Presbyterian Church, at 6757 Greene St., is in the heart of West Mt. Airy, Philadelphia at the corner of Green and Westview streets, a block from Weavers Way Co-op. To get to Summit, take either route I-76W or Kelly Drive to Lincoln Drive. (Watch signs carefully to get you on the drive.) In 2.9 miles, you will turn left off of Lincoln Drive onto Greene St. Summit Church will be on your right at the first intersection. There is plenty of street parking. Enter on the Westview Street side by the door with the sign "School of Dance Arts". The room we're dancing off is directly to the left when you enter the building on the main floor of the Church - in fact it is the church!
