Autumn Hike and Pie!

Skill Level: 5 - Includes significant elevation change. (1100 ft.) You must be able to hike for 4-5 hours with reasonable breaks. The hike is 6 miles round trip. Description: This will be out last Hiking and Pie event for the year! We've done this event three times this year, don't miss your chance! This time we are scaling Mt. Mohican up to Sunfish Pond. So, you can join us again if you loved the other hikes (or pie). You must be in good shape to do this hike. Our guidebook says "Sunfish Pond is one of the most popular hiking destinations in New Jersey, with good reason. The rocky shores of this crystal clear glacial lake are postcard perfect." Don't let its "popularity" fool you. This is not any easy hike. So, the masses don't invade the pond too badly. After the hike, we'll move on to the most perfect piece of pie heaven you will ever find. I love pie and this little shop is one of the most beautiful tributes to life well lived I can ever imagine. Pie everywhere: apple pie, pecan pie, peanut butter pie, shoo fly pie, chocolate walnut pie, pumpkin pie. Imagine a farmer's market where every single table is covered with pie. Three reasons; safety, conservation and fun. To promote safety. If there are too many people, it becomes too hard for our guides tokeep track of everyone. We would not want to go in with 50 and out with 48. Leave No Trace. Many of the trails we take are well established, and tromping around the woods on and off trail with 50 people causes erosion and increases our impact on the environment.
