Bio

If you want to see a show, then you simply see Xyzyx. (Pronounced 'ziz-ix') A plethora of fun, energy and physical animation, combined with rockin', catchy, and infectious numbers.

The unique, Los Angeles-based Power Pop/Rock 5-piece is united by Microphonist David Daskal (Maryland Heights, MO), brothers Johnny 'X' Baumgaertner on Rhythm Guitar and Vocals (La Crosse, WI), and Paully 'X' Baumgaertner on Lead Guitar and Vocals (La Crosse, WI), Adam "Y" Sears on Bass (Buffalo Grove, IL), and Eric "E-Lo" Lordan on Drums (West Chester, PA).

Formed underground in August 2007, after two separate season contestants of NBC's reality show "Average Joe" (David from St. Louis, and Johnny X from Madison, WI) met through chance encounter and found themselves randomly harmonizing in public. They took a live-in-the-moment action to full force, and have been performing live since March 2009.

Rockin' their brash 'Team Xyzyx' uniforms, songs like "Expendable (We're Not)" and "Between Us" will be in your face; traditional, fist-pumping rock ballads like "For You" and "Our Lives" will move; and upbeat dance numbers such as "Melissa" and "Kirk Cameron" speak for themselves, with energetic pop-rock-punk expression.

Recently throwin' it down at "The Viper Room", "Whisky A Go Go" and "On the Rox", Xyzyx can usually be found all over Metro LA. Respective residencies include: "Good Hurt" (West LA), "Skinny's Lounge" (North Hollywood) and "The Airliner" (Downtown).

A cross between Weezer and the Foo Fighters, the stage presence of Spinal Tap, throw in some 3-part harmonies reminiscent of 70s homage, and you've got Xyzyx.
