Vyle

Vyle is a Kerhonkson, NY based metal band. Three Brothers dominate the band, Andrew Harty, Justin Harty & Tim Roger. Brothers Justin Harty, and Tim Roger formed the band in August of 2003. At the time both were in separate bands, Justin vocalist from Lost Souls and Tim Roger from Homicide. Tim has played in several bands including, Rebellion, Left for Dead, and Painmask. Along with Tim, Joe "Who" Seibel, guitarist of Homicide, joined the band. Finally from a internet-ad Tom Morse joined the band to form Vyle. The name Vyle is centered on the drummer's abrasive and obscene lyrics. The band finished writing their first set of songs and had them copy written in 2004. Their set list includes songs such as Screams in the Night, Tearing off Limbs, Pain, Blood Spills, and Straight Line. Vyle recorded their first single cd in July of 2004. They recorded at Dropface studio in Newburg; N.Y. Vyle's music reflects the style of music that each player is influenced by. Front man Justin Harty bellows lyrics and gets the crowd involved. He has studied acts such as Unbalanced, Snoop Dog, God Forbid and Dope. Drummer Tim Roger enjoys bands such as Cannibal Corpse and Slayer. Tim's show performances reflect his having grown up observing greats such as Tommy Lee of Motley Crue, and Nick McBrain of iron Maiden. Guitarist Joe "Who" had followed Dimebag Darrel of Pantera all his life and plays a Dean ML, as did the late Dimebag. Joe's other influences include Lamb of God, Damage Plan, and Killswitch Engage. Andrew’s variety of guitar playing is influenced by his many artists. Some of these artists include All That Remains, Cradle of Filth, From Autumn to Ashes, and Chimaira. They combine the styles of Metal, Hardcore, Rock, Rap, Jazz, and Blues. Vyle began performing in front of audiences in November of 2003. Their first show was a benefit fundraiser. From there they played a few battle of the band contests. They also have played venues such as Red Zone in Queens NY, Stubbies in Highland NY, the main stage at the Rosendale Street Fest, and The Chance Entertainment Complex which consists of three different clubs in Poughkeepsie NY. Vyle has shared the stage on different occasions with bands such as Overkill, Joey Belladonna of Anthrax, Rot in Pain, Drowning in Blood, That New Sock Feeling, Junta, Unbalanced, and many more. Vyle has also played for Lower East Side Productions and auditioned for The Battle for Ozzfest, they were seen on camera at the beginning of the show. They learned a great deal about patience as a band during their wait there and felt it was well worth it to represent Ozzfest, Vyle, and their sponsor Dynamic Drums Music Store in Accord NY. Vyle is an all-original band that uses Dean, Peavy, Yamaha, Vic Firth, Audio Technica, Jackson and Ibanez. Vyle and its members have worked hard and have come a long way in their music to produce the best music they can for their fans. in conclusion, Vyle is a band that strives to make each show the best they have every done. They keep the crowd involved and show high energy and endurance on the stage. None of this would be possible without the deep love of the music that all four of them possess.
