.Investing her talents as a vocalist and pianist in the service of her country, Tammie Davis served as a U.S. Marine Sergeant and Musician while stationed at the Marine Corps Base Quantico, in Virginia. For her outstanding service and patriotism, Tammie was awarded The Navy Achievement Medal.
Today, Tammie is nominated as the 2011 Carolina Music Awards’ Female Country Artist of the Year. Her rich southern voice, sexy lyrics, andcatchy rock'in country music, will remind listeners of Wynona Judd, Joe Dee Messina, Carrie Underwood, and Miranda Lambert.
Since 2009, when Tammie launched her career as a professional songstress, she has received numerous nominations in the Carolina Music Awards and won Female Country Artist of the Year in the Queen City Music Awards.
Quite at home in the Music Row charts, Tammie’s debut single, Tall Dark & Lonesome, charted for thirteen solid weeks. It aired in constant rotation on media/billboard station WKML 95.7 FM, The Old North State’s “Best and Most” country.
“I love Tammie Davis!” declared Jim Quinton, Music Director for WPPL 103.9 in Blue Ridge, Georgia. “When I first heard Tall Dark & Lonesome, I knew that my listeners in Mountain County were going to love it, and indeed they do! Tammie is a modern day Loretta Lynn; just as talented and such a sweetheart. Can't wait to have her back in Mountain County!”
Sharing stages with the likes of Taylor Swift, Bucky Covington, Billy Dean, The Oak Ridge Boys, Phil Stacey, and Jeannie Seely, Tammie’s performance record has been remarkable. She has performed with Charlie Daniels in Las Vegas, headlined the Robeson County Fair, and showcased at the prestigious Friars Club in New York City, and has been invited to perform at the 2011 Rapids Jam Music Festival along with Sugarland, Darius Rucker, Willie Nelson, Colt Ford, and Lady Antebellum.
Of her debut album, It’s A Beautiful Life, Tammie said, “I so enjoyed creating this album! I hope everyone enjoys listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.”
Produced by Tim Sidden (pianist and orchestrator in thirty-two Top 40 hits) and Bruce Watkins (veteran Nashville session player and producer) at the legendary Hilltop Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, It’s A Beautiful Life can be heard streaming on Pandora and numerous other online radio stations. It’s available for purchase through iTunes, CD Baby, Amazon, and best of all, Tammie’s official online store.
"Tammie did a wonderful job singing,” Sidden said. “I am sure people are going to be blown away by her vocal performance. The way she took control of the session with her vocals was amazing. She sure made some ‘Big-Time’ fans in Nashville! I must say the sky is the limit for this future star on the horizon.”
