Myspace Bio...
Shallow Grave Satanic Symphony started in the year of 2001. Originaly formed by A.A.Aimee and Barf Arnold. The early music of S.G.S.S. was very experimental and unique. Taking the influences of early noise pioneers such as Satan's God, Hearsberry Taco, Testicle Bomb,Sonic DIsorder,Vaginal Discharge, and of course the legendary Ski Mask of TowPath fame. S.G.S.S. were also pioneers in the cable access world, doing much of the videos on Metal 4 Breakfast. A cable access show in the quad cities which ran for five years. Metal 4 Breakfast featured many local bands along side of the above mentioned bands.
Shallow Grave Satanic Symphony recorded and filmed many videos in the years of 2001-2005 until it was decided to make the band into a live act. Many of the influences in techno and noise would have to stay. So one the first things to remain was the drum machine. A thing of evil to many bands. Due to the fact of the unique sound. The drum machine remained a member of the band.
The live sound has been shaped into a Pink Floyd meets the Munsters vibe. With some disco/glam and served up with a helping of Black Metal. Which makes for a unique sound. In a climate of "card category" style of shows. S.G.S.S. has been fortunate enough to play with many bands so far. From cover to noise to metal to rockabilly to even country bands. Being weird has payed off to a certain degree.
Reverbnation Bio:
Shallow Grave Satanic Symphony has been in the business of creating the new genre. Surrealist Techno Punk Rock since 2001. S.G.S.S. has been the catalyst of many noise/experimental bands from their local area. The list is long of whom they have influenced in the area. From fans, to the arm chair musician who feels they can do it too. Often imitated but never a clone of S.G.S.S.. Shallow Grave has a sound of their very own and thus it's own genre. A live act since 2005. Shallow Grave has played venues to even live internet shows. Stop by and have a listen. They might scare or disgust you but you will never forget the experience..
