Sebastian just released his auto-procuced debut album UTOPIA. Discover it on his webpage: www.sebastianportillo.com
Sebastian Portillo (born June 25, 1981) is a Swiss singer-songwriter who spent one year at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts to achieve a Diploma in Pop Music and Soundtechnology in 2002/3. He plays most of the instruments himself. His first instrument is his voice followed by the piano and the Swiss drum. An instrument that requires special traditiional percussive skill on one single and very deep tuned snare drum with heavy sticks.
In 2004 he writes the Single for the major artist Natacha and enters the official Swiss charts for the first time. His song Summernacht stays for 14 weeks under the top 100 songs and peaks at rank 41.
Until 2009, Sebastian is still a student in Philosophy and Physics at the University of Berne. His main fields of interest are problems related to Space Time, Gravitation and the concept of Quanta or elementary particles.
With Utopia he releases a self produced album which is at the same time his first solo album. Now, with the aim to sell enough copies to finance a second album he is looking for partners all around the world.
