    Bio
Ryan Frank Cabrera (born July 18, 1982 in Dallas, Texas) is an American pop rock musician, who emerged onto the music scene in 2004.

Dave Matthews gave Cabrera the inspiration to pick up an acoustic guitar, but it was Steve Jones that taught Cabrera almost everything he knows about guitar at Dallas Melody. After years of making a name for himself in Dallas with the band Rubix Groove, he decided to finally branch out on his own. In 2001, Cabrera went into the studio to record his own independent album, Elm St.

    Take It All Away

Cabrera is managed by Joe Simpson, manager and father of pop singers Ashlee and Jessica Simpson. Simpson introduced Cabrera to record producer, songwriter Curt Frasca ([1]|Madonna), Avril Lavigne, Mariah Carey) late 2003 and along with songwriter Sabelle Breer the seeds for Cabrera's first major-label album, Take It All Away were planted. He teamed with the Goo Goo Dolls frontman John Rzeznik co-produce the album.[1] Reportedly, writing a bulk of the album in a week. It debuted on August 17, 2004, at number eight on the Billboard 200 album chart. Certified twice platinum. In early 2004, Cabrera had become known for his up-tempo pop-rock single "On the Way Down", which peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and number seven on the Billboard Top 40 Mainstream and has since sold over 2,000,000 copies. "On the Way Down" was followed by Cabrera's second single, "True", and his third single, "40 Kinds of Sadness" was top 40 airplay within weeks of release.

    You Stand Watching

Cabrera's second album, You Stand Watching, was released on September 20, 2005, and it included his singles "Shine On" and "Photo". The You Stand Watching album came with a bonus disc. The bonus disc included two new songs, "All Night Train" and "I Know What It Feels Like". The album also included acoustic versions of "Exit To Exit", "Take It All Away" and "Shame On Me". The CD sold on the iTunes Store included the bonus track "Sentimental." The record peaked at #24 on the Billboard charts and is certified gold.

    The Moon Under Water

Two years into the project, Ryan Cabrera has completed his third album. "The sound of the new record I think will open a lot of eyes and ears, and definitely be a surprise to fans and anybody who hasn't heard my music! I want to take my time with this record and really make a diverse entire album, as opposed to just a single or two, no I want a ride, a journey, I want the record to be able to be played all the way through. In fact, there are songs that none of my management or crew have heard. So many things have changed in my life, and the music is heading along with it."[2] The Moon Under Water was released on May 13, 2008, under Frolic Room Records/ Papa Joe Records. The album leaked online on April 28, more than two weeks before its official release. On May 12, 2008, EMI Group announced on their investor website that they will be internationally releasing all Papa Joe Records releases including Cabrera's upcoming album.
