Ruthless

Ruthless is the new sound of Underground Hip-hop, no question. The group consists of 3 Minnesota born MC's: M.C. Rentz, Phatty McGee, and Professor Fresh, all of which round out the unique flows that is Ruthless with the addition of the stagnant mannerisms of Just Smoke. Self-production by MC Rentz and Professor Fresh, 2 prominent Minnesota Producers make what is called Hybrid Hip-hop, a fusing of hip-hop, west-coast style melody, and a touch of punk.

Ruthless released their debut album, Deliciously Vicious, in March of 2005, the album is available in independent record stores across the nation, as well as Amazon.com, iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, Sony Connect and the Loonatix Productions webstore. Known for their live/high energy show, Ruthless has played over 100 shows since the group started recording together in 2004. Most notably, Ruthless has performed at historic First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN as well as many shows at the Quest in Minneapolis. In addition, Ruthless played along side label-mates Playaz Lounge Crew at the Insane Clown Posse's, Gathering of the Juggalos in 2005 and 2006, as well as their first official tour, the Serial MC's Tour, in June of 2006. The tour included such cities as New York City, Poushkeepsie, Rochester, Syracuse, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Detroit and St. Paul, and also featured shows with Goretex of Non-Phixion and Danny Diablo of Transplants fame. In 2006 the duo of Ruthless and Playaz Lounge Crew played the 5th Annual Twin Cities Celebration of Hip-Hop in Minneapolis, MN.

The group currently released their sophomore release entitled "Strawberry" and with a strong internet buzz, Ruthless will soon be a concrete staple in the nations Underground Hip-Hop scene.
