Prote-J was born to be the future of urban music. Prote-J is not only his generation's next great rapper, but one of it's brightest producers and songwriters. He almost has too much talent for one person to have. On his first mixtape 'Good Hip Hop Meets Radio,' Prote-J displays his complete arsenal and shows the music world that he is ready to be a major player in the game, right now. His ability to play the drums, bass, piano, and guitar enabled him to produce every song on the mixtape, in addition to writing every verse and chorus.

Prote-J was born in Los Angeles, California but raised by his mother in Papua New Guinea (a country in Oceania, just north of Australia), before moving to Florida. After his mother showed him a Michael Jackson performance, Prote-J knew he wanted to be an entertainer. He began his musical career in the church band and wrote his first song at just 9 years old. When he arrived to the States and joined the middle school band's drum corp, he also began to hone his skills as an MC. As a high schooler, Prote-J battled, and beat, anyone and everyone before connecting with a local producer to make his first mixtape. Prote-J then went off to college in Daytona Beach and continued to make music. Now with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration under his belt, he's ready to focus on his love for music.
