Portugal. The Man began as a side project for lead singer and guitarist John Gourley. It was all down hill from there, as their next four albums would experience great reviews and a positive response from audiences. 2009's The Satanic Satanist received particular attention, as it was their first album to include pre-production and was praised for its sound.
Portugal. The Man's freshly released In the Mountain, In the Cloud marks the band's major label debut.
