Since their inception in 2000, Northwest Royale has weathered lineup changes, illness and heartbreak to secure their spot as the premiere live act in the Pacific Northwest. They have played every stage possible -- from small clubs to outdoor amphitheaters -- winning over new fans with their intense, live-oriented music. Some have tagged them as "progressive hardcore" with their blend of heaviness, melody and dueling drums. Others have simply watched in awe as Northwest Royale destroys expectations night after night.

Bands they've played with include Slayer, Killswitch Engage, Mastodon, Disturbed, BloodSimple (the preceding Five bands being on the Jagermeister MusicTour), 36 Crazyfists, Rob Zombie, Ill Nino, Testament, Prong, Depswa, Candiria, KMFDM, Opeth, Devil Driver, Motograter, Dope, Mushroomhead, and many other major heavy hitters in the metal genre.

With the release of thier 3rd full length album this last may "Home Is Where The Hate Is" on Rockridge Music, they have finally gotten a chance to have there music distributed nationally, and with a very Hefty Tour Schedule in 2006 they have managed to reach a large portion of the country on their own pocketbook with No Tour Support whatsoever, playing almost 200 shows a year!!
