Bio

Mary Desiree is a 21 year old singer-songwriter from Queens, NY. Her genre is Alternative with a touch of Blues, Soul, Pop, Rock and Country. Mary is a versatile artist who has a strong passion for music, the arts and performing. She usually performs around the Astoria, Queens area, as well as Manhattan and Brooklyn. Some of the venues she has performed at is Sullivan Hall, Spike Hill, The Shilellagh Tavern, Hill Tap, The Local 269 Bar, Waltz-Astoria, The National Black Theater, Queens Center Mall, Bar East and last but not least, WEBSTER HALL. Mary's songwriting career started at the age of 16 years old. It was during her vocal training class in her freshmen year, that she found the love for writing music. She was always surrounded by music through her family of musicians while growing up. And from then on, she continued into writing more and more and started performing at OPEN MICs in Astoria. You can catch her at times at The Shilellagh Tavern in Astoria, Queens, during their Terrible Tuesdays Open Mic Night (every Tuesday).

Her credits include being the TOP 40 girls called back to Los Angeles for The Glee Project Season 2. She has been good friends with the cast as well as the producers (Robert Ulrich and Brad Ellis (Pianist from GLEE)). She also tried out for THE VOICE Season 3, but didn't make it past the cut. She also entered a video contest to be in E!'s new show called "OPENING ACT", where she ranked the TOP 10. However, she didn't make the cut to be on the actual show. Many opportunities have come her way that has helped her progress with her music and songwriting. She has many upcoming projects such as working with a group of animators who have worked with MTV, COMEDY CENTRAL and NICKELODEON, for her music video to her original entitled "LEECH". She is also working on making her first EP album and hopefully spread her music worldwide. Her upcoming shows, are going to be at RECOUP LOUNGE on OCTOBER 5th (starting at 7PM) and some time in November, she will be performing at a huge show representing "NO DOUBT" to the next 90's Fight Night show.
