Liquid Blue

San Diego based Liquid Blue is a unique band with a unique sound. Featuring the BlueGirls trio, the seven-member act has performed in more than 100 countries (a world-record). They were the first American act to be signed by a Chinese record company and have developed a large fan base in Asia. The band and its well-traveled members are very active on social issues (see "Green page"). The group operates Liquid Blue Radio, a "socially conscious" internet radio station on Live365 and well as hosting a monthly educational series featuring documentary movies and discussions since 2005.

Music To Move You: The Liquid Blue sound is an exotic fusion of western pop melodies with ancient & modern eastern elements. The media has classified the music as "electronic", "dance pop" and "world pop". The lyrics could be categorized as "socially conscious". Music to move your body & mind. The band's critically acclaimed debut CD, "Supernova", sold over 35,000 copies in the USA and even more in Asia. It was produced by David DeVore, (12 multi-platinum LP's) and mixed by (two-time Grammy winner) Joe Chiccarelli. Supernova has been a top-ten seller at CD Baby and was featured on their bestsellers compilation. Tracks from Supernova have been included on 20 compilations, alongside artists such as Jane's Addiction, Sonic Youth, Jurassic 5, Ani Defranco, Robert Fripp, Pete Seeger and more. Six songs from Supernova have reached #1 on Independent Music Charts! "Real" was the #1 Indie Label song in the U.S. in 2005 with over 400 spins per week and #4 overall on the NMW Hot AC chart.
