Lily Vasquez

Lily Vasquez is an actress, singer, composer and professional salsa dancer. She has been preparing for a career in the entertainment industry her whole life, first performing when she was 4 years old in Colombia as a singer and folkloric dancer. Since her arrival to the United States in 1990, Lily has sung and danced in countless parades, festivals and other popular events. Lily has also matured as a composer, developing a unique style by interpreting with versatility different genres, combining styles that have influenced her like Pop, Rock, Bolero, Salsa and others. Her new production, “Pasión de Mujer”, a highly anticipated release, breaks from the bachata format of her first CD recorded in 2006 that she says “opened doors in the industry.” Lily Vasquez, a tenacious artist, linked up with sellaband.com, a revolutionary concept in the music market, earned her global recognition. In only 9 months, Lily became the first Hispanic artist to collect $50,000 from fans and music lovers to record her next Latin Pop/Rock musical production, available in all digital stores such as iTunes, CdBaby, Amazon, EMusic, among others. In early 2009 Lily won the billboard song world contest for song Pasion de Mujer. Lily Vasquez is also known for her charisma, performance and physical presence every time she stands out as a presenter at festivals in the N.Y. Tri-State area. Her experience as a performer includes the Salsa congress (2004), festivals and open mics in different areas of New York/ New Jersey (2001-2007) Italy Tour (2002,2003,2004), Japan (2002-2005), Guam Tour (2003) Amsterdam (2007) and appearances on international television and radio programs like Telemundo, Univision, Channel 11 News (NY), CNBC News, Radio Caracol (Colombia), Radio RCN (Colombia), among others.
