Howdy. I'm the editor of Interweave Crochet and the founder and creative director of CrochetMe.com. In the fall of 2007 I'll be hitting the road to promote my new book, Crochet Me, and to generally chat crochet with all who want to join in. Want to join in?

A wee bit more about me: I coauthored Teach Yourself Visually Crocheting (Wiley, 2006) with Cecily Keim; it's a comprehensive, full-colour-photograph illustrated, step-by-step manual of crochet. I also wrote Get Hooked: Simple Steps To Crochet Cool Stuff (Watson-Guptill, 2006), a wildly fun book geared to teenagers for which a sequel is due out in the fall of 2007, cleverly titled Get Hooked Again. Also due out in the fall of 2007 is a smaller-format companion book to TYV called Crochet Visual Quick Tips.

In addition to Interweave Crochet, my work has appeared in Crochet Today, Knit.1, and Yarn Market News magazines.

I occasionally design funky dolls for publication. My dolls have shown their faces in the aforementioned Crochet Today and in the books Not Your Mama’s Crochet, by Amy Swenson; and the forthcoming Lion Brand Just Gifts.

I live in Vancouver, BC, with my husband and our dog. In addition to my work I enjoy knitting, sushi, thunderstorms, hiking, reading, the smell of clean laundry, and roller blading on really smooth asphalt.
