Katie Herzig tour dates for 2009

Katie Herzig was the lead singer of Newcomers Home, Boulder, CO-based band, until January, 2006. (www.newcomershome.com)

She is now pursuing a solo career, after independently releasing her second solo cd, "Weightless." Already Herzig's first album, "Watch Them Fall" has had national TV play on WB's "Smallville," and "Pepper Dennis," and has also had radio play on NPR playing stations. "Watch Them Fall," was co-produced with former Newcomers Home bass player and engineer/producer Chris Coleman. Wondering who her influences are? "Well it's a big confusing collage of Shawn Colvin's guts and poetry, Patty's raw goodness, Enya's layerings of harmonies and texture, Norah's soft and tasty production, my love affair with Coldplay, and whatever new band I've come across and listen to on repeat until I'm finally tired of it." So basically she doesn't really have one artist to associate herself with.

Herzig's style begs a definition of its own.
