Joey Tolbert

Joey Tolbert, singer/songwriter, approaches music from a folk and sometimes gospel approach. She partnered up with her husband, Matt, to write four original tracks on her debut CD- "I Know Love". The album also adds a contemporary flare to traditional hymns such as "How Great Thou Art" and "Pass Me Not". Joey says, "I wanted a nice variety that was a blend of church favorites and the vibrance of today's Christian music." Singing since the age of 2 (her mother has it all on tape) she has always had a passion for music and the stage. She was both classically trained and trained in a broadway style between the ages of 15-19. Participating in talent competitions during her teenage years and singing for church and in choirs has given Joey a diverse approach to music.

Joey and her husband live in Tennessee and they are both active in their churches and in music ministry. They recently welcomed their first child into the world and are so thrilled to be parents. Tolbert adds that..."I know that God has blessed my life with music and the ability to share music with others and I dedicate my talents to Him."
