Jana Clemen aka Abstract Soul DJ carrier started 1992. She is one of the first female Dj´s in the east of Germany, who influenced the electronic dance-music scene. Her DJ sets are an unforgettable mix of rhythm and sounds - from Electro, Techno, Electronic Body Music, Industrial and Power Electronics. Because of Jana's excellent choice and the energetic translation of music, her national and international bookings are always rememberable. Since 1994 Jana has been working as producer. In 1995 she produced music for Roland Caspers label Essence Records. Under the project name "Abstract Soul", Jana also produced on Glenn Wilsons Planet Rhythm UK label. She made her debut Album on Cari Lekebusch's Hybrid Records. Her first "Abstract Soul" Remix was for Adam Beyer's "Re-Coded" Album. Jana also has releases on Müller Records, Phont Muzik , Fieber Records, Convex Records Polyfon Records and Broque Records. In 1997 she started her own label Convex Productions.

Behind the synonym Sprawl is a new music project between Jana and Denard Henry, they are building a unique sonic texture and structure to add to the definition of "electronic music" in the near future.

Sonic Warriors United is most challenging project, initialized by Denard and Jana it has taken form in summer of 2007. They have seen it was time for a musical change and a breakout of the comfort zone had to come. Some of the finest Dj's and Live-acts out of the American and European, old and new-school Techno, Electro, EBM, Industrial scene are taking this challenge of this Re-Fusion concept as "Sonic Warriors United", to put together, what belongs together...in the Electronic Dance Music Arena.

Zu Recht kann sie sich als einer der ersten Dj´s bezeichnen,die die elektronische Musikszene im Osten Deutschlands massgebend geprägt haben. Wer Jana jemals erlebt hat,weiss ihren unvergleichlichen Mix aus Rhythm und Sounds - von Electro, Techno, Electronic Body Music, Industrial und Power Electronics zu schätzen. Aufgrund ihrer exzellenten Auswahl, der feinfühligen Dramaturgie und energetischen Umsetzung,sind ihre zahlreichen nationalen und internationalen Auftritte denkwürdige Manifestationen der Idee "DJ". Seit 1994 ist Jana als Produzentin tätig. Seitdem sind zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen unter anderem auf Essence Records, Planet Rhythm U.K., Müller Records, Phont Muzik, Fieber Records, Convex Records, Polyfon Records und Broque Records erschienen. Unter dem Synonym "Abstract Soul" gab sie ihr Debütalbum auf Cari Lekebush's Label Hybrid Records, Für Adam Beyer´s "Re-Coded" Album steuerte sie einen "Abstract Soul" Remix bei. 1997 gründete sie ihr eigenes Label Convex Records.

Hinter dem Synonym Sprawl, verbirgt sich ein Musik-Projekt, zwischen Jana und Denard Henry, dass noch einige Überraschungen bereithalten wird und in Zukunft geplant hat, das Schubladendenken der elektronischen Musikszene gehörig durcheinander zu wirbeln.

Sonic Warriors United, das bisher grösste umfangreichste Konzept, initialisiert von Denard und Jana, nahm im Sommer 2007 Gestalt an. Die Zeiten für einen musikalischen Umbruch sind gekommen.Einige der besten Dj´s und Live-Acts aus der amerikanischen und europäischen Old- und New-School Techno-Electro-EBM-Industrial Szene, nehmen die Herausforderung des Re-Fusion Konzepts als die Sonic Warriors United an, um wieder das zusammenzuführen, was zusammengehört...Electronic Dance Music.
