Jaid

JAID began his music career in Denver, CO putting together a group of local musicians, JAID quickly found himself playing sold-out shows all over town highlighted with performances at The Bluebird, Soiled Dove and the Fox Theater. JAID sent a demo tape to Maurice White (Earth, Wind and Fire) to Los Angeles whereupon Maurice instantly took a liking to the young talent. JAID flew to LA to record the four song EP "Make No Mistake", at Maurice's Magnet Vision Studio. Playing alongside JAID were studio legends, including Vinnie Colaiuta (Sting, Frank Zappa to name but a few) and Rafael Padilla (Shakira, Chris Isaak, Sade). "Make No Mistake" went on to sell an incredible 11,000 copies (without iTunes), while JAID was performing at LA's top venues (Whiskey-a-go-go, The Viper Room, The Roxy, The Troubadour, The Key Club, and at The Grove of Anaheim). JAID's live performances are nothing short of incredible. JAID was selected as LA's "Best New Band" by Billboard Live Magazine, drawing comparison's to Bono, Michael Hutchence, and Bruce Springsteen. "I have seen the future of music, and the future is JAID"-Kat Whaller, Billboard Live. JAID recorded and released "Blinded" which was picked up by an unheard of 137 Top 40 radio stations across the US. "Blinded" received 40+ spins a week on over 75 stations! The success of "Blinded" catapulted JAID into the national conscience. "Best New Band"-KZFN (Id), "Band of the Year"-KKSR(Mn). And while JAID had been playing and writing music his whole life, he never thought that he would be embarking on what would become a life of connecting with people musically, "This journey has been more than I could have dreamed, the musician's I have played with, the people I have met, and the fans that respond to something that I wrote...all of it has been amazing". In May of 2006, JAID was asked to be a part of Rehearsals.com, which is a new cutting edge website developed to bring the fans into the rehearsal studio with their favorite artists. JAID has been selected as an "Emerging Artist" and will be featured on Rehearsals.com in July 2006.
