More details about Honore'
Bio
This songwriter/singer/producer, originally from Altadena, California has spent the majority of his life cultivating and honing his craft. Hailing from ethnic descents of Creole (African American & French), and Filipino, Honore’ reflects the same diversity in his universal style. A singer who puts on a great show, whether he's performing on stage solo, live with his band, moving fans with dance choreography, or writing and producing songs, his originality and professionalism completely separates him from other artists.
In 1999, Honore’ decided to pursue a solo career, once again concentrating on what he calls his strongest skill - songwriting. Honore’ captured the attention of many top producers in the industry. He was finally introduced to Producer Mike Cee from the Arkiteks - (has produced for Babyface, Janet Jackson, Blackstreet, etc). Mike Cee gave Honore the freedom to experiment in the studio. From this, Honore’ mastered his own technique of vocal style as well as learning the art of arranging his songs.
Honore’ writes, sings, and co-produces all his material. He describes his music as “smooth R&B with a soulful backbone to it.” He's an artist that is incredibly versatile, a true presence on stage, and his songwriting is lyrically personal, yet universal. He credits great artists of the past - Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, and Lionel Richie for inspiration, as well as artists of today such as Brian McKnight, Joe, Eric Benet, Alicia Keys, and Musiq.
In early 2003 Honore’ teamed up with Trek-Life and brought forth a soulful, hip-hop track called “Wonderful,” produced by Spontaneous. This song was picked up by Hidden Beach/Sony music and placed on a compilation CD called “Hidden Hits.” Soon after, a music video for "Wonderful" was directed by up'ncoming multitalent Bobby Torres of Eclipse-Pictures, Inc. It was this experience that led to Honore's 1st music video, "Good Love”. In 2004, Honore' fused a collaboration with Eclipse-Pictures, and then partnered with Director Bobby Torres to form the label Banana Gravy Recordings, taking the next evolutionary step, now fully prepared to be a voice in the industry.
