    Bio
Holly Brook was born in the quaint and rural town of Mazomanie in Wisconsin in 1986. After an early introduction to music, Brook began to perform professionally with her mother, Candace, at age six. By 15, the mother-daughter duo had recorded three independent albums of folk music under the name, Generations.

Her auspicious beginnings, paired with the insight of a psychic medium, led to a move to Los Angeles. Shortly thereafter, working closely with Jonathan Ingoldsby, producer and songwriter, her career took a direct turn towards stardom, when rock kingpins, Linkin Park, recognized her talent, offering her a record deal with their label, Machine Shop/Warner Brothers. Holly began simultaneously working on rapper, Mike Shinoda’s solo project, “Fort Minor”, which resulted in her vocal collaboration on the hit single “Where’d You Go”, which peaked at 2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in 2006, propelling her into a whirlwind of touring, music videos, and major TV appearances.

On the wave of success and promise, Brook unveiled her first solo album “Like Blood Like Honey,” which in 2006 received widespread critical acclaim and enthusiastic audiences nationwide.

That same year, the opportunity arose to link up with one of her favorite artists, Duncan Sheik. She has since toured with him extensively, and has played a major role in his most recent projects, collaborating on various musicals, movie scores, and records. Brook’s vocals haunt nearly every track on Sheik’s new album, “Whisper House.”

Now, with the help of Ingoldsby and Sheik, Brook is emerging with a new solo album, which is a collection of her own songs that chronicle the chaotic circumstances from past two years of her life. Her voice therapeutically translates pure emotion that results from having the burden of a high-powered magnetic device for personal drama. Through introspective lyrics and mellifluous melodies, she tells the tale of the inner workings of her mind, and paints the picture with a lush sonic palate consisting of lush instrumental arrangements and intelligent chord progressions. The new album is undoubtedly a momentous accomplishment for Brook.
