Hollow Image

In a market flooded with fakes and trend-followers, Hollow Image is a band dead set on defying standards and playing their own brand of original heavy music. A quintet based out of central Massachusetts, the group create their unique blend of metal and industrial music through tight musicianship and unadultered brutality. Using their diverse influences to weave crushing rhythms with haunting melodies into a brutal sonic assault, the band is determined to make a big name for themselves by playing the music they feel in their hearts. The only thing more formidable than their annihilating sound is their intense live shows.

Formed in 2003 in Maine by guitarist Adam Cutler, the band recorded their first self-titled EP before being joined by bassist Pat Flaherty in September of 2004. They released their second EP, "A Dark Reflection" the following February. After several lineup changes, they recruited vocalist Josh Buckley in January of 2005. More lineup changes insued however, and the band relocated to Massachusetts for a new beginning.

With the addition of new drummer Lauren Maccagnano and keyboardist Matt Jennison, the group began making quite a stir in the greater New England music scene. After a successful year of playing high profile shows and expanding their fan base, the band parted ways with Matt due to musical differences.

Despite yet another lineup change, the group is pushing on even harder than before. While still looking for a new electronics manipulator, they are continuing to expand their fan base through relentless touring throughout the New England area. Finally in August of 2006, the group released their third official EP, Suffer Through Art. Recorded in Framingham by engineer Mark DiNitto (Wretched Asylum, Within Choking Range), the disc features five slabs of pummeling metal showcasing a young band with a refined and mature sound. Seeing distribution through several major retailers, the album is set to be Hollow Images biggest release yet. The future looks bright for the young group, with opening slots for high profile acts such as Dope, Mushroomhead, Nothingface, Manntis, Crossbreed, Gizmachi, Bleed the Sky, Silent Civilian, Skinless, Wednesday 13, Deadstar Assembly, 6Gig, and Nobis already under their belts. With an ever evolving sound, a growing legion of fans, and an unrivaled live show, Hollow Image are prepared to take the metal community by force.
