Heidi Raye

Heidi Raye is a country singer/songwriter/musician and Nashville Recording Artist from Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada. Heidi was raised on a farm where she rode horses, drove machinery, and became a true country girl. She began singing in church when she was 3 years old and acting in local musical theatre productions when she was 5. Heidi plays guitar, classical piano, keys, mandolin, harmonica, and trumpet.

Heidi’s self-titled debut album was produced by Arlo Gilliam, who plays with the Grammy Nominated Country Group, Emerson Drive. The album was recorded in Nashville, TN, and was released April 18, 2009 with the first single “My List” debuting on the Top 100 Canadian Country Music Charts in March, 2009. The second single, “Never the Bride”, was released in July 2009, also debuting on these charts. Heidi co-wrote the first single on the album, as well as single handily penned three others. She has opened for Randy Travis, Aaron Pritchett, and Emerson Drive, and has shared stages with acts such as Jason Aldean, Neil McCoy, Johnny Reid, Jamie O’Neil, Aaron Lines, Jo Hikk, Gord Bamford, Default, State of Shock, and many more. She has been a 3 time semi finalist in the Pacific National Exhibition Talent Search, a semi finalist in CMT’s Karaoke Star, and has placed in the Top 100 of Canadian Idol. In the fall of 2009, Heidi’s single-handedly penned song, ‘Last Flame’ off her debut album, placed in the Top 25 in the Music City Song Writing Competition that was hosted by MCA Recording Artist, Josh Turner. “Last Flame” also received an Honorable Mention in the 17th Annual Billboard Songwriting Competition. In December 2010, Heidi released her first Christmas single to Canadian Country Radio and was added to over 60 stations across the country in just 4 weeks. In January 2011, Heidi released her 5th Canadian Radio single called “Good Either Way” (written by Isaac Rich and Heidi Raye). This single quickly got the radio attention she deserved as it climbed up the Canadian country Billboard Charts to 60 within the first month.

Heidi’s energetic personality and true confidence on the stage makes her an excellent entertainer. “My country upbringing and my supportive and encouraging family are what keep me grounded and driven. The many years of voice, dance, and piano lessons, as well as the number of leading roles in theatrical productions, are really what have made me the well rounded entertainer I am today… I am so thankful to God for giving me this gift and opportunity”.

Heidi moved to Nashville in the fall of 2010 and will be in Canada in the summer of 2011 before embarking on her Swiss tour in the late summer where she will be headlining Festivals, doing radio and television performances and appearances, as well as doing her own concerts.
