GRIEVES
Grieves was born and raised in North Chicago, Illinois. At a very young age, his father Leon brought him to all of the famous Chicago Blues clubs. The experience of soul and blues was highly influential and has become the base for Grieves music today. Moving to Fort Collins, Colorado, he immersed himself in hip hop. He began to battle and record and followed his path to Seattle, WA.
Living and breathing music, writing and recording every chance he gets, hes released 2 EPs on the now defunct label 7Hill Records. The latest, Every Hell Has its Springtime has sold out.
Touring constantly, he takes his partners Type & Murderdice with him and together they go by the name Illegitimate Children. Planning to release records with Illegitimate Children as well as his solo work, Grieves is making his mark on Hip Hop scenes across the country.
Though he make look like a child, hes been at it for over 5 years. At the age of 22, he produces all of his own beats, writes all of his music, manages his booking, touring and promotions and is probably kissing your sister right now.-Lisa Wood
