    Bio
Winners of the 2006 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition, Greensky Bluegrass is taking Michigan’s blend of acoustic roots music on the road. Performing at festivals, theaters, bars, and listening rooms all over the US, their rare traditional sound has quickly spread to a national audience. The band is comfortable behind one condenser mic, with amplifiers, or any combination thereof. They are versatile performers for any stage and suitable for a wide range of listeners.

"A true hoedown... Kalamazoo style. These guys play all my favorite songs." - Larry Keel

The compositions of Greensky Bluegrass offer a unique perspective on tradition, and insight into their own experiences. Driving instrumentals and affecting lyrics contribute a fresh sound to an eclectic acoustic genre. GSBG is currently touring to promote the release of their sophomore album Tuesday Letter, produced by Tim Carbone from Railroad Earth.

"...every great album starts with great songs and this record is no exception. Songs of hope, truth, loss, and love of family and friends are all here. Songs that will make you laugh, dance and think. And songs of grace." -Tim Carbone

Greensky Bluegrass is Michael Arlen Bont, banjo; Dave Bruzza, guitar; Michael Devol, upright bass; and Paul Hoffman, mandolin. Recently they have performed on stage with Railroad Earth, Larry Keel and Steppin' In It. The band has shared bills with influential musicians including Ralph Stanley, Yonder Mountain String Band, Sam Bush Band, New Monsoon, Keller Williams, Ekoostic Hookah, Hot Buttered Rum, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Vince Herman, Mountain Heart, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, The Mammals, Open Road, Darrell Scott, King Wilkie and many more.
