    Bio
Goodnight Ether as a whole did not come into the light as fast as some would have hoped for. The original founders were Bobby Villarreal on Rhythm Guitar and Lead Vocals, and Roy Ayala on Lead Guitar and Back Up Vocals. Shortly thereafter Herman Fayad joined up with the guys on Bass guitar and Back Up Vocals. Once the trio had brought the material together they began holding drum auditions, but sadly nothing stuck. In Summer of 2006 a drummer caught the ear of the group in what seemed to be a successful audition. However, he was unfortunate in not being mentally prepared for the band. Ironically in January of 2007 the once denied drummer A.k.A. Ruben Martinez was given a second shot. With only having 6 weeks pass the band had successfully preformed their first live show at Ernest's House. It is unfortunate to say but prior to the 5th show Bobby decided to call it quits. Since then the line up has changed. What was once a roady/guitar tech., became our new bass player. Vicente Garcia (new bass player) has been with the band since Aug. of 2007. Being the newest member he fits the bands personality quite well. Shortly there after Herman Fayad (former bassist) decided to give vocals a shot. After trying him out the band decided that Herman was as close as they were going to get before the band actually called it quits. The band succesfully preformed their first comeback show on on Oct 27th 2007 (Halloween weekend). The band was excited to be back on track and doing what they love to do "preform." As soon as the band prepared to play another house party show, Ruben Martinez (former drummer) decided to quit the band and focus on his own material. Goodnight Ether wishes him the best of luck and thanks him for his time and honesty. As of January 2008 the band was fortunate to start the new year off right and is a now and once again a complete band. For those out there that have been with us since the begining keep your fingers crossed this one looks like a keeper! He goes by the name of Davos and has been playing drums for seven years now. The band hopes that he stays in it for the long run and doesn't flake out (just like the rest of them...You know who you are)Since the transition the band has been moving forward and the music is now alive. One thing is for certain, Goodnight Ether as an original band highly values and takes pride in their music. The one thing that sets this band different from others is the fact that they are not a trend, and that within itself is what truly defines Goodnight Ether. Some of their songs may strike you as political, or portray their views on religion, suicide, and drug use. Keep in mind that they are not in any way trying to force them on you. Goodnight Ether has been proven to overcome many obstacles through its lifetime. They are only getting stronger with time and will be bringing more waves to the stage. So bring your ears as they bring the rock. Sincerely , -Goodnight Ether P.S. Most importantly, Goodnight Ether would like to Thank everyone who supports the band. We thank you for helping us grasp a taste of GOODNIGHT ETHER...
