Exit Clov tour dates for 2009

Since its conception in 2003, Exit Clov has taken the Washington, DC, music scene by storm with electric hooks and politically charged lyrics, sung in gorgeous ethereal harmonies that only twin sisters could conjure. Layering infectious synth, violin and guitar riffs against a backdrop of vitriolic bass and drums, Exit Clov creates a sound that is cinematic and furious, yet charming, poignant and irresistibly danceable. Exit Clov has to its credit two self-produced EPs, including 2004's Starfish and 2005's Saskwatch. For their new demo, dubbed the Jolly Roget Sessions, the band enlisted the insight of producer Roger Greenawalt (No Doubt, Ben Kweller, Iggy Pop, The White Stripes). Exit Clov has won many followers in a short span, touring the eastern seaboard, playing festivals in the Midwest and Northeast and appearing on ESPN. The Starfish EP was named one of 2004's best Mid-Atlantic releases by Left Off the Dial, and the band was nominated as Best New Artist for the 2005 WAMA awards.
