Seeking refuge from a stagnant music scene in the Southern California area, Divide the Day can be best described as hard-hitting, ass-shaking, Dirty Western rock! As a group of dedicated young visionaries the Band independently booked a vast number of tours, spanning the West Coast, Midwest, and two full US. In 2003, Divide the Day completed work on a full length CD, "Those We Love The Most, Never Truly Leave Us" they decided to self-release it in order to help finance their touring. The following year saw the band growing more melodic and widening their influences, while paying homage to Sin City with the entertaining EP "Vegas Baby Vegas," which the band again self-released in 2004. After their independent releases, Divide the Day signed with Pluto Records, and after warming up with a few label-supported tours, they entered the studio to record the new full length, "Pretty Girls with Ugly Boys," which was released July of 2005 and has sold thousands of registered copies to date. The album features fan favorites Like, "My yellow pages girl," "Totally outrageous por favor," "Vegas Baby Vegas," and a slew of newly written material, equaling 14 tracks. Many local shows and tour dates followed the release of this record. Later on in 2006, Divide the Day began writing and preparing for the new album, as well as constantly playing shows and sticking strongly to the belief that their home is on the road. In 2008, Divide the Day once again found themselves in the studio, this time in Hollywood, California, with producer Fred Archambault, who has worked with artists such as, Avenged Sevenfold, Alice Cooper, Valient Thorr, Deftones, and more. The new album, entitled "Deadly Like The Snake," is a hard-hitting, balls-to-the-wall, Rock & Roll record with 11 tracks and it's release is currently in the works. Having made a positive, and substantial regional impact, and with a steadily rising national awareness, Divide the Day is looking forward to touring and sure to gain many new fans across the US.
