Contemptus (con-temp-tus) In a city lacking any scene for the musically talented comes a band known as Contemptus. From the shadows of a dying scene up rose a band that is quite tasteful to the ear, and chest pounding to the heart. The musical boundaries of this band have already surpassed local status, and are rising to the top of the charts. In 2006 after an old break up of a former band, Chaz, Lucas, and Stefan forwent their musical careers and decided to change their style and create the band we now know as Contemptus. After weeks of searching for a front man they stumbled upon a man named Daniel which brought to the band countless and countless screams ranging from highs to lows and mids. His music talent was huge and with his voice he brought power and emotion to the band. After a few shows they found a synth player named Chandler, who gave the band a more fuller, deeper sound. And with that line up, Contemptus was dedicated to bringing a show like no other. This band is worth watching. Crazy riffs, uncontrolled stage performance, and technical breakdowns are what this band is all about. Contemptus was also created in mind that they would never forget the people they cared most about and to never sell out and get over their heads. With signing to indie label(Midnite Rekords), Contemptus plans to tour and play as many shows as they can, playing for the fans, and hoping to make new ones.
