Celine Dion

Celine Dion has become one of the premier vocalists of our time, moving people all around the world with her velvety voice and heartfelt songs. She has achieved fame and world renowned from nearly two dozen French and English language albums, worldwide tour dates, and live Las Vegas performances. Her original Las Vegas show - A New Day… was one of the top selling Vegas shows ever; so popular they extended tour dates a year past her contract. Now, the Canadian songstress brings her incomparable vocal talents back to Las Vegas with Celine, a new show with tour dates beginning in 2011 and lasting until 2014.

Celine Dion was not always a renowned celebrity with a comfortable salary. She was born in Quebec as the youngest of fourteen children. Her childhood was filled with love, but there were always tough financial times for a family of that size. Celine recorded her first original song at the age of twelve and her brother Michael sent it to her future manager and husband, Renee Angélil. Angélil believed in her so much that he mortgaged his own house to pay for the production of Celine Dion's first album, La voix du bon Dieu. From that point on, Celine Dion won nearly every coveted musical award in Europe, including a gold record in France for the single "D'amour ou d'amitié", several Felix Awards, and the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest.

Celine Dion's first English-speaking album, Unison, was released in 1990 and received acclaim with critics and American soft rock fans. Her next big break came when she sang the self-titled duet from Disney's Beauty and the Beast with Peabo Bryson. The song received an Academy Award and a Grammy, and the singer used it as a spring board for her self-titled album in 1992. The next plateau for Dion came in 1997 with her album Let's Talk About Love, which featured special guest vocalists like Barbara Streisand, the Bee Gees, Luciano Pavorotti, and Bryan Adams. The hit single from the album was "My Heart Will Go On", a powerful love ballad that would be used as the love theme in Titanic and cement Celine Dion's place in vocalist history.

Since that time, Celine Dion has been creating multi-platinum record after multi-platinum record in both English and French, as well as selling-out tour dates around the world. In 2003, Celine agreed to appear five nights a week at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas in a live show titled A New Day that was choreographed by Mia Michaels. The concert series was hugely popular and - although was only supposed to last three years - was extended until 2007. Now, in 2011, Celine Dion has returned to Las Vegas for another three years to perform tour dates for her new show, titled Celine. Show dates began on March 15th at Caesar's Palace, and the show will feature Celine's hits that fans have come to love, as well as music from classic Hollywood films that inspired her to sing when she was a child. While tour dates will run from 2011 until 2014, the weekly concert dates are not on a fixed schedule and shows sell out nearly every night, so fans planning a Las Vegas trip better by Celine tickets before they book a hotel room.
